Winner of the Epsom Derby, Irish Derby and King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes in 2001, Galileo was trained at Ballydoyle by Aidan O'Brien and ridden by Michael Kinane. He is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest stallions in history and was champion sire in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2020. He was the sire of a record 5 Epsom Derby winners, 92 individual Group 1 winners, numerous classic winners and the world champion Frankel. He was himself by the great champion sire Sadler's Wells out of Urban Sea by Miswaki. Galileo stood his entire career at the world famous Coolmore Stud, Co. Tipperary, Ireland.
